The Blessed Virgin Mary holds a preeminent position in the Catholic Church as the Mother of God (Theotokos) and the greatest of all saints. Through her fiat - her 'yes' to God's plan - she became the mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Her life exemplifies perfect discipleship and complete trust in God's will. Through her various apparitions at places like Lourdes, Fatima, and Guadalupe, she continues to bring hope and intercede for the faithful.
