Prayer to St. Teresa of Avila

O Saint Teresa of Avila, seraphic virgin, beloved spouse of Christ, and Doctor of the Church,

You who taught us that 'God alone suffices' and showed us the path of intimate prayer, help me to:

• Develop a deeper prayer life

• Find God in the ordinary moments

• Persevere through spiritual dryness

• Trust in God's infinite mercy

Through your intercession, I ask for these special graces:

• The courage to enter the 'interior castle' of my soul

• Wisdom to recognize God's presence in my daily life

• Strength to overcome obstacles in my spiritual journey

• Love that transforms my prayer into action

Let nothing disturb me,

Let nothing frighten me,

All things are passing away:

God never changes.

Patience obtains all things.

Whoever has God lacks nothing;

God alone suffices.
